Pregnancy Tests

An unplanned pregnancy is a life-changing event, there is no doubt about it. However, that is why it is so important that, if you suspect you are pregnant, you take a pregnancy test to confirm your suspicions. From there, you can then gather information that will allow you to make an informed decision regarding your next steps.

By visiting Women’s Resource Center, we can provide you with the information and resources you’ll need to make that decision. By making an appointment at one of our centers, we can provide you with a free, lab-quality pregnancy test that is 99 percent accurate.

How Do I Know If I am Pregnant?

There are several symptoms that may indicate pregnancy, including, most commonly, a missed period. If you are pregnant, you may experience any of the following in addition to or in place of a missed period:

  • Nausea
  • Food Aversions
  • Bloating/Cramping
  • Sore Breasts
  • Fatigue
  • Mood Swings
  • Frequent Urination
  • Spotting

If you do experience any of the above symptoms, it is highly recommended that you take a pregnancy test to be sure.

How Do Pregnancy Tests Work?

Lab-quality pregnancy tests, like the ones we offer, test for the presence of HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), the hormone released during pregnancy. HCG can be detected as early as seven days after conception, or 21-24 days after the first day of your last period. Our nurses and staff are available to discuss your results with you immediately following your test.
